Welcome to Helioshield! I'm so glad you're here. I'm Dr. Ashley Steffens, board certified dermatologist, Mom, and founder of Helioshield. As a dermatologist, I see firsthand the effects of sun exposure: up to 90% of visibile skin aging is caused by UV radiation, and 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.
The good news is that much of this is preventable. I founded Helioshield to make sun protective swim and activewear more accessible, stylish, and functional.
